What is Wildlife Sanctuary?
A wildlife sanctuary is a protected area where wild animals and their natural habitats are preserved and safeguarded from human interference, hunting, poaching, and habitat destruction by Forest officials. These areas are established by governments or conservation organizations to ensure the survival of endangered and native species of flora and fauna across the jungle.
Key Features of a Wildlife Sanctuary:
Protection of animals: Hunting and capturing animals are prohibited.
Habitat conservation: Natural environments like forests, wetlands, or grasslands are maintained to support biodiversity.
Human activity is limited: Unlike national parks, some human activities like grazing or local community access might be allowed, but strictly regulated.
