Whenever you hear the name Assam, one thing come to mind and that is Kaziranga National Park. But, there are several beautiful Wildlife Park or places where you will find beautiful scenery or wildlife species. Today I am going to take you to a place where you possibly witness the rare beautiful primate named Golden Langur and also the scenic beauty of mountains of Bhutan. 
 

Raimona National Park History and Location -

This National Park has officially started running as a national park in India from June 5, 2021 on the precious day of Environment ( World Environment Day). It becomes the sixth national park in Assam state of India.
 
Location - Kokrajhar District, Assam, along the Indo-Bhutan border. 
 
If you want to reach here then comes with train runs through Kokrajhar Railway station. For the people of Alipurduar, you can take a gypsy or a bus from Sova ganj bus stand which goes through barobisha.
 

Flaura And Fauna of Raimona National Park  -

Flaura - Raimona National Park have 380 varieties of Plants and Orchids. Trees like Sal, Banyan trees, Sirish Tree, etc. 
 
Fauna - Raimona National Park has many wildlife including Asiatic Elephants, Indian Gaur, Slow loris, Rhesus Monkey, Chinese Pangoline, Dhole Barking deer, Leopard Cat, Jungle Cat, Indian Leopard, Clouded Leopard, Sambar, Bengal Tiger, Himalayan Serow and the most famous one Golden Langur which has largest population in the world. 
 
Avifauna- Raimona National Park is an Important bird and bio-diversity area. Avi-fauna includes white bellied heron, Swamp francolin, Pheasant, Grey peacock pheasant, Black Baza, Indian Peacock, Greater cormorant, Pied Hornbill, Red junglefowl,Ibisbill,etc. 
 
 

 Why Raimona National Park Is Assam’s Undiscovered Biodiversity Gem?

The reason behind undiscovered is that it has just 4 years of presence as a national park but fortunately local boro tribe has come forward to take initiative to protect the wildlife and aquire tourist through there safari service. Hotels and home-stays are opening. Very soon it will get the hype that its deserve because people are started to know about this national park.
 
I traveled here just 15 days ago and I found many things like Hornbill, cormorants, peacock, Greater Caucal, Black baza, jungle fowl, Golden langur, barking deer, sambar, etc.
