In this Blog, I will share my thoughts on Buxa Tiger Reserve and how it is a hidden wonderland for Bird Lovers across the world.

I will share my Top 5 bird photos I have captured with my Nikon Coolpix P900 from last Three years.

A Hidden Haven for Bird Lovers "Buxa Tiger Reserve" -

Buxa Tiger Reserve founded in 1983 as the 15th Tiger reserve in India while started its national park designation in 1992.

Buxa once was a roaming land of Royal Bengal Tiger but unfortunately they have very low density even inside the core jungle approximately 2 or 3 left. Despite this numbers, Buxa remains a wonderland due to its bird diversity including elusive rare species like Rufous Necked Hornbill, Great Hornbill, Emerald Cuckoo, Black necked crane, Griffon Vulture etc.

Buxa is also famous for its mammals like Indian Elephant, Indian Gour, Indian Leopard, Clouded Leopard and large reptiles like Burmese Python, King Cobra, Banded kraite, Monocled cobra etc.

I grew up near this bird paradise and the place name is Alipurduar which is known as "Queen of Dooars". I watched numerous birds here which influence me to pursue the passion of Wildlife photography alongside my family. I currently operating as Travel Agent for Viator and my own tour n travel agency "Dooars Bhraman".
