Hallo friends, I am Kushal Chakraborty and I have traveled to many places last year but one of the rarest beauty I have found in a place was Garuchira Eco Village. You can see photos clicked by me. Garuchira is a place for quite travel enthusiasts including a good place for wilderkinds. 

I am here going to explain some of the key features of Garuchira Eco Villege and why it is a unique gem for adventure seekers.

Garuchira Eco Villege - The hidden gem of Terai (North Bengal)

Garuchira is a magic land which is a border town near Indo-Bhutan border but a place under Indian administration. This is realistically the hidden gem of Terai region because of the architecture of the village, scenic view of mountains and diverse wildlife including Indian Elephants, Indian Leopard and birds like Hornbills, Indian peafowl;etc.
 
This Eco villege is an Elephant corridor but I did not see one during my journey because it was one day journey. Wildlife sighting is very depend on luck and exploration ability with patience.  
 

Where is Garuchira?

Garuchira located in the bandapani area of the Terai region in Jalpaiguri district but managed by Alipurduar district. It is the border town of Indo-Bhutan. Garuchira is a crossing corridor of Jaldapara National Park and Buxa Tiger Reserve.  
   

 

I highly recommend to visit this hidden gem of Terai region of North Bengal because the village is vibrant and culturally reach with drukpa community. you can stay in the small cottages which you are seeing in the picture (1500 rs/per day).
